I remember watching him in his games. A force to be reckoned with on the field, but in person, was known as a gentle giant.

How many other NFL greats would star in a kids TV series?

It's sad. R.I.P.

He was a fearsome, terrifying force on the football field. But a big fuzzy bear on the video screen. His role in "Blazing Saddles" will still be quoted for years.
