Speaking of Leverguns... Got a new one.

Post by 2ndovc »

After nearly a week the sun finally came out this afternoon to get some pictures.
Last weekend my dad and I set up a table at the Ohio Gun Collectors Show. Once a year they hold it in
Cleveland instead of near Cinn. OH.
Anyway, Sold a bunch of stuff. My main goal was to sell enough to buy a new laptop but I did really well and was out wandering around
Sunday afternoon. This '94 was in a pile of Rossi's and nobody noticed it snuggled in there w/ a $400 price tag. I knew I had enough for it and a new laptop.
I grabbed it and ran! :D

It's a .45 Colt with a 20" barrel and some of the nicest wood I've seen on a '94.
Serial number is 6,380,000 ish. Not sure when it was made other than pretty late in production. I don't have any books that go that late.
If it's had a more than two boxes of shells through it I'd be surprised. Hardly a mark on it.

Can't wait to shoot it!!!

Well done. Darn I was going to try to tempt you with first shot at my BSA commercial with express sights in 303. Guess you spent all your extra jack. I will post it in classifieds this weekend. Along with a 1911, a derringer and an LMT EBR all decked out. But u did real good with that Jason. Congrats.

Ya done good! :D

I agree, that is indeed exceptionally nice grain in the buttstock wood. Are you OK with the cross-bolt safety and rebounding hammer? I didn't care for them on my Winchester 1894-1994 Commemorative rifle and so swapped in something I felt was better. You can read about what I did in the one sticky:

Good luck with your new acquisition!

That piece has some handsome figure in that buttstock.

Nice choice.

Very nice - but - has the dreaded cross bolt safety, which I do not mind. Better send it this way, I don't even really mind that defective wood with the twisted grain and all. :D Nice find!

That's a dandy, love that stock. I had one just like it, but foolishly traded it off some years ago.
