Reminds me of Germany's Unimog. Not that that is a bad thing. Hm then again for my needs my 05 Tacoma is my next truck for the foreseeable future. More interested in a car. Not that the truck is bad but at about 19 miles to the gallon unless the boss has me running all over town...

If they could manage to bring it in under 25k - they might have something (it is a single cab truck after all)

Me likey! Put a matching cap on the back made specifically for it and a big honkin' roof rack with a bank of lights.

Somewhere there needs to be a 100 gal fuel tank! Yep, a cap and bank of lights! The Apache is also pretty neat.... 470hp Hemi in a Jeep! Way too much off-road fun! 8)

Wouldn't want to run into anything with that kind of cab - your feet are already resting just inside the front bumper.

Run into? More like run over! Jeep FC (Forward Control) meets Unimog. I like it.

The Bible says "there's nothing new under the sun." I guess that would be true here as well.

Look up the Jeep FC. http://thefcconnection.com/

When I was still in high school there was a group called "SEA TURTLE RESCUE" that had a fleet of the FC's, all bright yellow. They used them to patrol the beaches at night looking for sea turtles that had come ashore to lay eggs.

I always thought they were neat. You could barely hear the little 4 cyl engine they had in them running at all.

I like the color. I like the no chrome. I like them big honkin tires. I like that it sits high and you have lots of visibility. And I like the lots of ground clearance.

Now what I want to know is what engine does it have and where do they hide it?

That is a throw-back to an early 60's Jeep truck. I made a couple of treasure hunting trips to Mexico in the early 60's in one. It worked very well in some very remote places. I hope they bring back the updated version, should find a good market.

Hobie, I REALLY like it and I want one, haha. That is the only "new" truck that I've actually liked in a LONG time. New trucks have WAY too much molded plastic everywhere for me. I like a basic, no frills, tough, truck. my current truck is a m1028 CUCV if anyone knows what that is.

I remember my neighbor had a Jeep FC truck back in the early '60s, always thought they were cool.
Here's a couple on eBay, fixer-uppers with allot of potential: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/willys-j ... 2326122b3f http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1964-JEE ... 2a26e4ebab

I almost bought a diesel Unimog once but the shipping to Maui was prohibitively high so backed down on deal.

I wish they imported the Russian UAZ 4x4 vans into the country.
