I think I'll go buy a Ruger

Post by Rusty »

After watching the gunblast.com tour of the shot show I see where Ruger has a banner on their webpage that will automatically send letters to all your representatives from Obama right on down to your state level.

I did it too. Hopefully these electronic communications are not simply deleted. None of those they were sent to are true American patriots.

Ruger's gotten a lot of crud over the years for some of their "rumored" stances but I have been a Ruger guy for decades. They've gotten nothing but better too. Heck, my wife even has a Ruger keychain. She likes em more than I do.

My next gun may very well be a SR40c.

It's a good idea, but under no circumstances am I going to send an email to the Bobo & his Crew that has both my address AND a declaration of gun ownership. Not only would it be pointless, but may as well paint a drone-strike bullseye on my roof too.

Sent encouragement to the WY folks though.

"Curses...FOID again."

I have to think that the deluge of e-mails from gun-owning voters and taxpayers had something to do with Obama backing off.

here's with my Ruger today at 40 ft (30 shots):

Well OI I'd be willing to bet you already have a bulls eye on your roof. I'm sure we all do.

Kind of like when John Hancock signed the Declaration of Independence and he signed it with letters twice as big as everyone else. He said he signed it big enough so the king wouldn't have to put on his glasses to read it.

I have my CCW and a C&R license. The bulls-eye on my roof also glows in the dark.

I have a couple Ruger pistols and will probably buy another someday, but I still hold a grudge for Bill Rugers comments about magazine capacity and think they still have some reparations to make for that. When Ruger takes a pro-active stance and makes it clear they will fight tooth and nail against even a magazine capacity ban and apologizes for the damage Bill Ruger did to our 2A rights with those comments, I'll start cheering them on.

Bill Ruger is dead and gone. There are NO Ruger family members at Ruger now. It's almost a completely different management. I believe that your holding a long dead grudge is a waste of brain cells.
And this write your government thing they have going is more than any of the other gun makers are doing. I'm thinking they've long paid for Bill Ruger's opinions on magazines.

Well there was a time when you couldn't buy hi cap magazines unless you were a LEO. They changed that, now anybody can buy them factory direct except for the current madness. I was a little miffed with Bill at the time, but I got over it. They are an American company trying to help us preserve our rights, and their market.
