Need prayers for AWOL brother UPDATE IN OP

UPDATE: Brothers friend called the Costa Mesa PD and they found him. Alive and well. He'd changed addresses and phones and didn't tell either of us. I haven't talked to him yet but will sometime today.
Thanks for all the prayers. I'm sure they helped me if not him.

The last time I heard from my brother was July 21st of last year. We were on our way home from my MILs memorial service in FT Wayne, IN when he called. He asked how I was, then paused and said in a despondent tone: "Nobody would care anyway" then hung up on me.
I was too tired to think properly and I never called him back.

Things here are and have been up in the air so although I've been thinking about him I haven't done anything and time has flown by.

In the last week I've sent several emails: no response.
Sent him a text message: no response.

And yesterday I emailed a friend of his who is the only other contact I have for him.
He has not heard from my brother in two months and here is what he said:
"THE LAST TIME I HEARD FROM HIM WAS ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO. HE TOLD ME HIS MONEY HAD RUN OUT (trust fund from his parents) & HE WAS THINKING OF MOVING. HIS HEALTH IS BAD. HE JUST GOT OUT OF THE TREATMENT FACILITY (alcohol rehab, again) & WAS PRETTY COHERENT, BUT DEPRESSED. I TRIED TO HELP HIM WITH HIS FINANCES SEVERAL TIMES, BUY A HOUSE, HEALTH INS, ETC, BUT IT WAS LIKE TALKING TO A POST.
I'LL CONTACT COSTA MESA PD TO SEE IF THEY WILL DO A WELFARE CHECK & LET YOU KNOW."

So, I would like to ask for prayers of help for my brother. I hope he's just moved and not set up to contact anyone yet, but, the worries are there.

Not meaning to sound harsh, but you can't be responsible for other peoples actions. Some people are who they are. My family has only heard one time from my brother since 1998, and that was in 2005 when our father passed on. He's been gone ever since..........and he only lives 20 miles down the road. I look at it as "good riddance".

I'm not trying to be responsible for him, I'm just concerned and worried. Other than my two old aunts and a couple three or four cousins I don't give a hoot about he's the only family I have.

Well, he's been found but I think he's not talking to me for some reason.

I called his home phone, no answer.
I called his cell phone, it went to voice mail. I left a message, so far no call back.

We'll see what happens I guess.

Boy I sure understand Joe. My bro got a burr up his skirt when I would not let him manage my wife's retirement and has not spoken to me since ( 7 years ). Even though he's such a sharp I still email him and ask him out to a meal when I'm in New Orleans. Sharp head.
