Seriously, shouldn't that be sort of intuitive once you are looking at the thing sitting there? Tap Gently.

It probably did, but I dunno where it got off to.

The device is pretty simple, put your .22 into one end or the other of the tool (the diameters are defined somewhere an I will try to find the data)

Pick a forming Rod, insert into the tool opposite the boolit, then tap the rod lightly with a non-steel hammer.

Remove carrtridge and begin again. Thatt's all there is to it.

My ACU'R'ZR dies have colored rings to indicate the least significant digit in the bore size.

One colored ring = .221

two colored rings = .222

three colored rings = .223

Yes it is simple,
Thanks Macintyre, that is the kind of thing you would not know without the paperwork.

For the hammer, I use a rawhide mallet such as you would use in leatherworking. I bought it at Ace Hardware. It is light enough that I have to sometimes hit the forming rod more than once, but that is better than going too far on the first hit.

If we can get AJMD to pipe in, I plan to use an arbor press like he does.

I borrowed one of Paco's tools a couple years ago from a forum member and worked up a bunch of different ammo.

No idea if it improved the performance of the ammo or not as I've not fired a round of it yet.

Bro,
You have to get out more, and yes; I know it is problematic for you.
Don't you miss the days when an afternoon shooting involved putting guns & ammo in the ride and driving to the desert?

Click on the link at the bottom of my post. I have a rainbow of colors and even metallic red.

Is my link that invisible?

I was using mine just the other day. 6 taps on each bullet with the blunt/wadcutter insert and I see a big difference in impact on items floating in the water (belive it or not, thats a safe shooting activity where I live).

I loaned it to a friend who owns a Kimber .22 rifle. He tried it on paper and claims that it didn't make any difference in group size, but he also noticed a difference in terminal effect.
