Post by Pitchy »

Been wanting to build a breech loading cannon for a while so made another noon cannon.
It isn`t noon when it went off for filming purposes :)

Yepper, do a search on breech loading cannons and you`ll find they date way back.
Would of been quite an advantage as you could have a pile of loaded canisters waiting to load.

Excellent as usual.... :D

There is a museum of artillery not far from me in Portsmouth, they have similar full size breech loading cannons like that.

I like it a lot. No need to wait until noon, just use a BBQ lighter, or rotate the barrel 3 minutes ahead of the sun for the follow up shots....

I have never saw such a thing. A breech loading blackpowder cannon! Pitch....you 'da man. Is there a projectile or just the noise?

I also see you must be feeding the songbirds there. That's quite some music I hear in the background. :D ------------6
