The two brothers and the chipmunk.

Post by hightime »

I have to share this. The oldest grandson is twelve. He's been my side kick all along. He was sitting beside me in my deerstand at nine when I let him shoot a small buck. He's always been up on hunting and quite a know it all about guns. On the down side he is always bragging and puts his younger brother down. The three of us were mousing around at our cabin this weekend. I was tearing the beaver dam apart as the boys were keeping busy with guns. The little guy went off by himself with his little 22. We heard a single shot. When he came back he had nothing to show but a story about a porcupine he had seen. It had disappeared after he had shot at it. The oldest brother didn't believe him, but went to look. When he came back he told me he didn't think there even was one. Later I went to look, I hate them buggers in my tree farm. After we returned without seeing any, my wife and daughter walked around the trail and come up on a fresh dead porky. I high fived the little guy and said no one ever gets them with one shot 22. Now he's the proud one.

I hate beavers on my farm but our DNR won't let us tear down the dams. $250 fine here.
