Boy o boy

Post by Pitchy »

I`m going to take my scooter out to Washington in the spring and enjoy riding in that country a little.
My ole pard lives out there and we`re getting old so I better do some putting out there just for the heck of it.
Gotta find some enjoyment in life somehow, just thought I`d share that thought. :D

Just to add to that thought we were out there this fall, I was sitting at my pards place and I heard a shovelhead on the highway, you can tell by the sound that it was a chain driven bike which ya don`t see much anymore.
Anyway I went up to the tavern and there was a ridged frame shovel and a guy and his ole lady sitting there.
Told him I could tell he was riding a chain drive bike by the sound, he replied and said he needed to get a new chain
Real nice couple regardless and would like to meet up with them again. :)

I was in a custom shop over here a few years ago now...the guy was working on a shovel head and yeah I noticed the sound of it!
It was tight after rebuild and hot out side, the hot engine smoking from oiled finger dabs.
Low slung sprung saddle and fat tyres it looked cool :)

Was just kidding pard, I ride with anyone and don`t care what they ride.
Nath, ya don`t see many old school chain drive choppers anymore, my dream is a pan head rigid frame.
This old 77 is a nice bike but it isn`t a chopper which I really enjoy riding.
Tomorrow it`s supposed to be +28 so I think I`ll fire up the scooter and spin some donuts. 8)

Well I didn`t get the bike out today, it only got up to 15 degrees and I had to go to town and get a rock chip in my windshield on the hippy van fixed.
Maybe tomorrow and I won`t be going to WA. until spring sometime. :)

If you wait until Late June/July...Mount Rainier Park, and Chinook Pass will sure to be open...if you ride out here, you can't miss those. The North Cascades Highway, too....doesn't clear out to later in the year....You can check online when they're open....

Pitchy,
Can I go if I pay to have a side car attached to the Harley?

Just think, we could have a little cooler in the sidecar and while we are cruisin' down the highway, I could pass you a beer and you could pass me the joint. We could hook up with Griff and hang out at the T-bar and after we are all plastered, we could sleep it off in Griff's Kenworth. :D

On a serious note, I know where your head is at and those thought pass through my mind.

I know a guy who is now in his late seventies and he was telling me that after he retired, his wife and him fought like wildcats. He packed up some meager belongings, a few rifles, and drove around the country for 2 months. When he was in the Pacific Northwest, he said to himself, "I was never in Alaska" and away he went for another 2 months. He said after coming home his wife said he changed for the better and never had no issues after that.-----6
