$196 9422M

Post by gamekeeper »

I picked up my bargain 9422M. $196 because of a cracked stock which I replaced with one from Numrich Arms for $14.95.
I will refinish the woodwork when I get time, I have another 9422 that needs an oil finish and my 16GA is also crying out for a bit of TLC.
My son now has my Brno .22 Hornet and with a bit of luck we'll be taking out a few foxes this spring.
I have to get some decent .22 Magnum ammo, the dealer only had CCI maxi-mag total metal jacket. Any suggestions on ammo for foxes appreciated.

Ok... so the real question is... why are you using Dollars when you have hard currency available?

That is outstanding. It's always great to hear a fellow levergunner getting such a good deal, especially on something as sought after as that one. :D

So what you are saying, is that you got away with a 9422 for less than 100 Pounds.

Git.

Nice rifles. Don't let the anti-fox hunting crowd in on your plans to fox hunt with your boy or you'll be swarmed by the idiots.

If I can find another 9422 at a "bargain" price I might be tempted to convert it to a trapper and even get the barrel screw cut for a moderator.
It would mean having a shorter magazine tube to accommodate the sound moderator but it would make a good bunny sniper.

We always used to call em' silencers but they don't really silence the shot, unless they are used in Hollywood, there they even work on revolvers!!!

I've always called'em "Suppressors"...

Can you get Colibri's there in the UK?

OI, I've tried to get Colibri's over here but had no luck. I do use CB longs and they are quite good on squirrels. I don't really like using a "suppressor/moderator/silencer but sometimes they can be useful, like when I shoot rabbits from my kitchen window and don't want to disturb the girl who lives next door!.
