I got a Midway notice a couple months back. I clicked to their website for that ammo less than 60 seconds after receiving that notice - and they were sold out. Basically, the stuff was sold out before my notice even arrived.

This problem is NOT getting better at all. It might be getting worse. For sure, it is ridiculous.

I'm sitting on about 15 bricks that I've had for years. I may find something that is back-orderable and get a couple of cases. Maybe some Winchester Wildcat....

I ordered a 5000ct case, of MiniMags, from Midway. It said,"backorder ok", so I locked in the $330/cs delivered price. It's not due in until November, but I have the price and product locked.

Mini-Mags have been in the .055-.07 per round, for several years prior to 2013. $100 per case (.02/rd) is a fantasy long ago gone......

I went looking for my .22 lr, to look at prices but it is really at the bottom of the stack.
My .22 Mag was near the top( don't know how that happened ) $5.47 & $6.00 on the two stickers I could find.
Two ammo cans of the stuff :D opened up one it was stuffed to the gills with CCI, my bolt rifle likes CCI.
While I was looking I found two 20 round clips for my tricked out FEG Hi Power clone, stuck one in the gun.
Blaine, would you get my Pol.Incorrect pistol on the forum if I send you a picture?

The last 550 round boxes I bought were $9.95. Then the supposed metal prices drove them up to 19.99. They finally settle back at $14.95 before all this recent nonsense. Now they're $24.99 at Walmart if you're standing in line when they unload the truck.

I'll just keep hoarding what I have for a while. Some of the yahoos on Facebook are still asking $50.00 a box. I hope they choke on it.

Midway's #34 catalog (2010) lists a case of cci minimags at 299.99

What's sickening, just a few days ago they had Norma's new 22 ammo instock again,, in a couple of days it was all gone, but there's a bunch of it on Gunbroker at nearly twice the price :P I hope those greedy buggers choke on it.
I see another honest trader over there is trying to sell cases of target federal ammo that apparently was an overrun production for the Boy Scouts five or 6 years ago for twice almost 3 times the money of a case of basically the same stuff from reputable suppliers now.
I hope they all choke on their greed, but the sad part is there will be people buying that stuff at scalpers prices, and the chances are pretty good they are breeding and reproducing.

I'm set. Won't be buying anymore at these prices. Not on Soc. Sec. income, for sure

What harry listed was CCI blaser ammo, not mini mag. I've never used it but I heard it was decently accurate. I know I've shot Eley and Federal Gold Match and my response was, "meh."

I just ordered some of these...

http://www.midwayusa.com/product/698314 ... uctDescrip

I'm tired of waiting to shoot. I guess I could jump on the bandwagon and sell 4 bricks on FB and get the other 6 bricks for $19.99 plus shipping. That price I just ordered is actually cheaper than WM at $24.99 a box of 525-550. (of course those ore HV copper-plated.)

The last time I bought from Sportsman Guide (2003) I bought 25 bricks @ 11.90 each for the CCI blazer. So I was off by 19 bucks.

Those are the prices I recall as well, and it wasn't too long before they were only five bucks before they all the sudden double to the ten dollar mark.

CCI minimags are my favorite and it wasn't too many years ago I would only stock up on them when they were on sale for one dollar a box, then they got stuck around three for a while then doubled to the six dollar a box price about the same time the bulk packs shot up to fifteen dollars.

Have no idea what a real price is any more as I haven't seen any in a store for over a year now.
