Installing a 3 Leaf sight without drilling and tapping...

The challenge is an old, Winchester 1894 with an octagon to round barrel that I wanted to install a three leaf sight without drilling and tapping the barrel.

Here are a few pictures of the process:

Here is what the three leaf sight looks like disassembled:

I took an old front sight I had and filed it down to fit:

Drilled and tapped it for 6-48 Screw:

And screwed the sight to it and it fit like a glove!

Nicely done. That looks like an excellent rear sight too, and at a pretty good price. I would think about that sight for one of my rifles.
