I have an older Marlin 1895 Cowboy with a 26" barrel that was worked over by Bob Munden. Used to take it out shooting gophers. Loaded 300gr cast over 12.5 gr unique for right at 1,100 fps. Loads of fun!

I have a Winchester 94 in 25-35, Lyman tang sight, bore looks like a sewer but it still shoots well, I load up 60 grainers and a case about full of 4895. We don't have gophers here but I use it on prairie dogs, any critter within 150 yards is meat in the pan. :lol:
