Back to the .38 WCF
Well, I now have a rifle, brass, dies, factory crimp die and a lovely Accurate 400-190C mold, and I was going through my resources re-reading what I could find on this cartridge, when it occurred to me to check Elmer Kieth's "Sixguns." And of course here is Elmer killing elk with a .38-40 colt loaded with 260-grain .40-82 bullets! I had forgotten. Here I was thinking a 220 was a heavy.

Pete, it's a Cimarron/Uberti 73 carbine. Buffalo Arms had a few in stock in .38WCF; otherwise they are hard to find.

CS, the stock has been sanded and Tru-oiled, as the edges are slightly rounded where it meets metal, but I don't mind. The man who owned it took very good care of it,cand the bore is as bright and crisp as a freshly minted silver dollar.
