FYI, on 25-35 Brass

Post by Lefty Dude »

Some time back, IIRC a few on this form were looking for 25-35 Winchester Brass.

I use this Brass to make Cowboy Screw Drivers. I had been using the Winchester 25-35 brass and buying in 1000 lots from Graf & Sons. I had 2000 on back order for over 2 years. In January, Graf's called and cancelled my BO. I was down to 150 case's at the time of the cancellation.
To make a long story short, Hornady is now making or has made 25-35 brass. And Graf's has it in stock now.
The Graf's part number is; HRN86101 50 pieces per box, and the price is: $39.69 each

I bought my inventory yesterday they had approx. 3000 in stock.

Prior to making a large purchase I bought 100 case two weeks ago, for quality control check. After my evaluation of this hornady product, it looks to be as good as the Winchester product.

Not Lefty Dude ,but, I have one of the Cowboy screwdrivers and they are cool. It is simply a piece of empty .25-35 brass with a hex bodied screwdriver bit seated in place of the bullet. I don't know how he does such a neat job of seating the screwdriver bit or how he crimps it in but they seem very sturdy and they can be carried in your belts bullet loops. They work in .38 or .44/.45 loops due to the case taper. I got mine from a vendor at a local shoot.

Thanks Griff for the link.
The center is the 44/45 belt loop size, made on a 30-40 Krag case. The right one is the 45-70, has an integral tip holder and can interchange with standard 1/4" bits. comes with a straight bit.
And of course the left one is the 25-35, which fits 32/38 belt loops.
The straight tip I use fits about 90% of the screws which may come loose on the Fire Arms Cowboy Action shooters use in competition. An exception is the Colt SAA Revolver, This tip will not fit the Colt screws, clones Yes, Genuine Colts, No.

Thanks, Guys for the comments.
