Recent hunting photos from UK.

Post by Nath »

Still busy fellers.
Contains hunting scenes!

Needed to check zero of the WMR last weekend and it was found to be off.
All OK now.

Image
The reason for checking was a missed fox and striking this one lower than expected!

Image
Later this day I got a call about a fox killing chickens.

Image
Shot right on dark.

Got a call by a gamekeeper with all the gear but no idea!
One hour of squealing and this feller turns up!

Image.

Me and Jess went for some cooking rabbit this weekend.

Image

Now for some scenary.

Nice photos, as usual.... :D All I've shot lately was a crow raiding my song bird feeders.

I'm doing my hunting vicariously... As I mow the pastures, the field mice get scared out... and the red-tailed hawks get 'em!!

Nath, you certainly get a lot of hunting in -- at least 10 times as much hunting as any of my hunting friends. And I really enjoy your great pictures. Thanks!

Nice shooting. Don't laugh but right now I have a family of what may be five kit foxes and the vixen living on my property.

As I sit here in the kitchen sipping on some coffee I am watching five of them romping in the back yard. In all honesty, if I had a chicken coop it would be a different story.

I like the fact that they are taking out the mice and voles at the place. I read an article on a study from NY that the real culprits for spreading lyme disease are mice. In areas with a low red fox population there is a higher rate of lyme disease.
