The company that hosts our forum is doing a migration of our site to a new data center. Here's an excerpt from the note they sent me about it. Please keep bouncing this back to the top for the folks who are "sticky challenged". Once the migration is complete this thread will be locked and we'll go on about our lives as usual. Thanks!
We’ve got plans to move your sites to servers in this new data center at the start of next week or shortly thereafter. We will be closely monitoring the migration process, however, please note that you may experience some higher-than-usual load times while your data is being migrated. Rest assured that any speed issues that you see as a result of the migration process are temporary. The real-world impact should be minimal, but we wanted to contact now to give you a heads-up and a pre-emptive apology for any inconvenience this may cause!

They've probably set up a new server to mirror the current server. Access times might be affected by a combination of the bandwidth used during the copy and the heavier read/write activity.
Once the mirror is built they just have to make sure they have routes to the new server location, wherever that might be.
Run them in parallel for a bit and then turn off the old one.

Exactly. There may be some slowing down as they make the move, which is why we're letting folks know about it. They've given us good service over the past few years and I expect they'll continue to do so.

Thanks, Nate. If I don't get back to you by Saturday, hit me up again. There's a lot on my plate right now. The site's doing well for funding, we're scheduled for another fund raiser in January.
