30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

Don't have either, but know the advantages of 444. With that being said, I'd go with 375 Win. HTH

I'd choose the 444 loaded with Ranch Dog's 300 gr. FN and a hefty charge of H 335. I haven't got a 375 Win but I do have 3 rifles chambered for the 38-55.

356 Win. although I have 375 and 444, the 356, which is of course a 358 just has better ballistics.
