New shotgun Mousegun.

Post by gamekeeper »

I have just picked up my G/Fs birthday present, a Webley & Scott single shot .22 smoothbore.
The crimped #12 shot shells pattern a whole lot better than in any of my rifled guns, I even tried a few Eley sub sonic hollow points, keyholes at 10 yds with a 8" group
It should be ideal for rats and magpies in her garden, quieter than her air rifle too.
The little shotgun only cost $66.00 + postage so I reckon I'll have to buy another present or risk being called tight fisted
The link below is another Webley garden gun, sorry, I'm still without a camera.

An English Garden Gun was pivotal evidence in an episode of Poirot. The weapon was quite ornate, beautiful.....(love that show)

I couldn't find one of those, so I had to satisfy myself with a 12 gauge Benelli Nova for pest removal around the place....

Honestly, the 12 gauge is slightly better versus the 22 shot cartridge, if you're talking 'bigger game' like chipmunks.....you wouldn't want to wound one and be attacked....!

You would be remiss in your obligation if you didn't. Someone had to ensure it was safe to fire. You're a brave, and caring man. 8)

John, in today's world -- that really means you have No Cellphone.

Nice gift, but you might need to add something that sparkles!

67 Bucks?? That just sunk in. I'd have to get more than one at that price.
