Need a Winchester 94AE .357 Ejector

Post by Winchester73 »

Gents
I have a late model Winchester Legacy 94AE in .357 Mag. The gun is on it's second ejector which broke recently. It's the usual problem in that the pin has snapped off the main body of the ejector, but luckily I have the broken parts including the spring. I've tried everyone I can think of, including Numrich, Homestead Parts, Brownells etc, everyone says you can't get them anymore. I'm staggered that a relatively new rifle can be rendered a wall hanger merely for want of a small spare part. Does anyone out there know a source for the part in question. I'm no good at brazing/welding, though I might be able to find someone to braze a new pin on the old part if there's no other option.
Thanks for reading

Try midwestgunworks.com

I just googled Winchester 94ae ejector and they showed up.

I would suggest that if you find them BUY MULTIPLES since they wear so fast...

Midwest don't have the .357 ejector--it says obsolete.

I could use a xtra one as well.

Best wishes on your extractor.
Good to hear a 357 legacy in use on the island.
Thought I could hear one now and then.

If you need a magazine control clip for the lever, unique to the 357. Get in touch.

I checked the Midwest site and the part number you mention is for an extractor, not an ejector, but thanks anyway.
I did email Midwest some time ago asking for any advice but I never received a reply.
It's not looking good

Sadly no. Thanks anyway. I might give Western Gun Parts in Canada a call though.

Can you post a pic of the part? I'd like to see exactly what is broken. That way I can get a better idea of fix/ repair or remake. These kinds of things get my brain working on solutions!

You're right... apparently when I cut 'n pasted, I clicked on the wrong ".357" part... But, I'd still give them a call about part number: U341850310. If they don't have one, find a good welder and have them put a good gob of hard face welding rod on the end of that part... then spend a few hours hand filing to get a workable part. With that hard facing on there, it's not likely to EVER wear out against brass! You might go thru a coupla files... :P

I've used hard facing rod when I made horseshoes for street use. I could use a horse daily on concrete and asphalt for at least 2, sometimes 3 trimmings before the rest of the shoe rusted away!
