Check out this awesome "Combination Gun"

Post by Old No7 »

I'd posted the info about my new-to-me "Coyote Killler" combination gun (see my post from the other day) on a shotgun forum as well, and one of the guys there told me I ought to look at this one...

Get your drool rags handy!!!

Check out this unique 3-Barrel Shotgun/Rifle with a .22 Hornet hidden in the top rib (click for link)

And for those who don't want to click the link, there's a preview below... With 3 bores, I think this would be a variant of a "Drilling".

Edit to add: Per Nath's post, this one is a "Schienendrilling" -- Two shotgun barrels with a small-calibre rifle barrel built into the rib.

Wow, what a beauty!!!

Amazing work of art, function, and versatility!
The .22 hornet barrel in the rib, never seen that done before, very nice!
Of champagne tastes and a beer budget, but what a fantasy!

I was in Augsburg once, I was only a 13-14 and found in the center a gun maker that only made these type of hunting guns.
I entered the shop hoping to see some pieces but I didn't. I only saw an immaculate machine shop, the machinist and his wife and we could not communicate :(
I do remember seeing some examples and a chart of configuration's in the window.
As a young boy I could see the potential!

That's too cool! Todd/3leg
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres

Many nice Drillings and Vierlings out there. I've seen a few with the rifle barrel on top, though most, like mine, are underneath.

.22 Hornet sounds like a decent compromise and keeps the rise of the rib lower than a .30, so...

I still want a light 20x20/.357Max Drilling...
