Oregon Trail bullets available online for now...

Oregon Trail / Laser Cast recently sent an e-mail to its customers with a mid-December cutoff date for bullet component orders. This was based on the upcoming Jan 1st California law banning Internet sales of ammunition and the confusion surrounding what that means.

"Ammunition" has a nebulous definition in California; basically, "that which can be fired from a gun."

Since other bullet suppliers will still be selling cast bullets, I asked the Oregon Trail representatives if they would reconsider their statement.

I received a very quick and courteous reply, quoted below:

"IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO GET ANSWERS FROM ANY OF THE CALIFORNIA LAW MAKERS. Even
our Oregon senators can't get answers ... so at this time we ARE continuing to
sell and send to Calif. Until we hear different. If any order causes us
alarm or reason to believe the person is not legit we may alter that order.
We like to believe all of our customers are honest and law abiding...
