G'day

Post by Aussie Chris »

Gday there everyone. I was a member of the old forum a few years back. Just thought I'd say hi. I am 23 and purchased my first rifle when I was 18. It was a model 94 Winchester XTR made in '79. I guess you could say I started off big hehe. Since then I have bought a 9422 and a Tikka T3 in 30.06. I started reloading and deer hunting about 4 years ago. The 06 is used for sambar deer down here in the Victorian high country.
I went to an auction down here a recently and will cover this in my next post.

'g day Chris.

I just helped host a group from NSW.

Too bad most of them were non-gun politicals....

G'day Chris,

I'm just getting back into the sport after about 20 years. And I know that at least one of my rifles is going to be a lever action. I was very disappointed that the 375 Big Bore is no longer available. I found it a fantastic cartridge. And the 38/55 just seems a step backwards as a usable cartridge although I'm sure it is of interest to some from a collectable point of view. Oh well, I have always liked the 444 but never owned one. Then there is the 30/30, 44 mag, 45/70, 22LR etc etc etc and they are all great fun.

Cheers

Troy
