I just finished reading a trilogy of political thrillers by Newt Gingrich where this sort of thing was used in real life.

BTW...Gingrich write some excellent books, regardless of what people think of him as a politician. This is his trilogy on George Washington which should be required reading before a person can graduate high school.

Sounds like some good reading. Newt worked with an author named William Forstchen on a series of post-apocalyptic books called the John Matherson novels. Great stories of a post EMP world.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'm down to one new one to start, which is unusual. Just finished Jared Kushner's book. Completely understand why he and Ivanka want to sit this one out.

I liked Newt...when someone pulled a dirty trick, he could turn around and double-dirty them right up the six (calm down, Six....six is a military term for your back, as in watch your six)

I re-read the Washington Trilogy every few years, along with Sign Talker, Panther in the Sky, and The Red Heart (all by James Alexander Thom), every couple'a years, and...I can't find the George Washington Trilogy... :o :( I loan WAY too many books out (and lose them too, I'll admit).

Thom's books are awesome. The three I mentioned are my favorite but I've never read one of his that I didn't like.

Kind of a drift from 'exploding drones', but I'm a book-addict; anyone coming into my house to try to steal guns with trip over all the books trying to find the guns...
