I love the sound of gunfire in the morning!
Opening Day of Dove Season!
Re: I love the sound of gunfire in the morning!
Ours will start tomorrow morning. I live about a mile from the river bottoms and you can hear them quite well. Same on the first day of duck season.

Gunfire is my alarm clock. I live at the range which opens 7am!
Archery elk opened here this morning. I may give it a shot Mon or Tue. Great way to scout for rifle season. I can't wait to hear them bugling!
Good luck on the dove hunting!

Re: I love the sound of gunfire in the morning!
.
In 8th or 9th grade my best friend would have his dad drop him off from his city home to my house for a day of river-bottom walking and shooting. Usually he would have his 22 LR just like I would. I was usually lazy and slept in until he got there so instead of knocking on the door, he would get right outside my bedroom window and fire a few shots in the ground.
That would always wake me up, but one day I found out he had gotten a new Argentinian 98 Mauser…
THAT really work me up…!!!
(… and I used to wonder why my mother got gray hair…! )

The sounds of freedom!
I love the sound of gunfire anytime... as long as it is not pointed at me!
