Must Resist!!!!

Went in to the LGS and was accosted by the owner and hauled to the back room to show me a Marlin 1895 Century II ltd in 45-70 and told me " I really need this ". Soooo tempted. Gun is engraved and has nice wood. Pistol grip/octagonal barrel. Supposedly only fired a few times. Think he wants me to buy it so he won't be tempted to take it home himself!!!
Would have to do some trading though. Have a 39A with checkered wood (deluxe?) that I could trade but do I want another 45-70??? Cash wise its priced at $1k. Too high??

I have an 1895CB and an old straight stock 22" 1895 and feel no need for another marlin 45-70. I'd go for my wallet faster than a rattlesnake at that price.

Myself I would buy it as you ll regret it if you don t.Plus I bet you could probably get more than your money back if you decided to sell it

I SAW ONE AT A SMALL SHOW ABOUT 15 YEARS AGO AND IT WAS THE SAME PRICE. DONT WAIT . BUY IT.!

Check the current prices on 39A before even mentioning trade. They are ridiculously expensive right now.

Went back and looked at it again. Its a 1895 LTD--1 of 1500



Got the owner to come off the price a little more :o

It gets out of "jail" on Tuesday

That's a great price at $1000, and even better at anything less. Glad it was still there when you went back!

Yep, 3 day waiting period on any firearms sold in the state. Started Oct. 1, 2023.

Gonna be cold this weekend,guess I will be loading some 45-70!!
