552 Speedmaster 25 yard offhand challenge

The dirtiest shooting rifle ever made is also very accurate.
Finally found what this old rifle likes Norma Tac 22
1 1/2" group standing offhand

They are great rifles! I can remember shooting a friend's off sand bags hitting baby aspirin at 25 yards.
I have one in the safe( a 572 also) and I really should take them out to play.

The 552 has a floating chamber so S,L,LR can work and that's why the are so dirty. But the system works very well.
Oh good shooting too!

The 552 has standard chamber , it's the 550-1 that has floating chamber.

This rifle was Dad's , 1982 . Had never been all the way down until last year I did a major clean up .

Nice. I love the balance of the 552. I had one for a while that I got used, and then swapped it off again.

Huh, guess my ol memory ain't what it used to be as I remember it is a floating chamber. At any rate they are great 22s!

I have one that was my dad's made in 1979. very good guns, a bit pricey, but worth it.
