I have always had an interest in Contenders.....never had the money to buy one.....know of a nice early 1980's version in 45 Colt/410 with the short barrel and the screw in choke. AJMD429 the AK-74 is 5.45 caliber.......there are .223 AK's......having a place on the Texas/Mexico border in Presidio County a AR15, Mini14 or M1A with spare mags would be my choice....along with a good shotgun and a 1911A1...

Appreciate the replies........well little brother (the only family member with big $$$$) just happened to mention a Springfield Armory 1911A1 Micro Compact he had for sale....carried a 1911A1 in the USN so got a pistol I already know, more power for about 50% of the cost.....life is good....

Over the years I have owned (they really owned me) a feist/terrier mix and 4 Rat Terriers......they were all excellent dogs that loved to hunt.....they are also great family pets.....

What type material did y'all use on the walls ?? I am in the process (actually my son) of re-sheeting one of ours....we use OSB painted....cheap but it is heavy.....thought about T111 but it is kinda pricey.....looks great...

Dan....got to thinking....there is a very large Tech School in Waco....Texas State Technical Institute....they have a Master Mechanics Program that is really top notch. I bet a call to the headman would provide a couple of top notch mechanics in the Waco area....just a thought....
