Re: Puma Winchester M92...454 Casull...New Addition!
I was teasing you a bit --But seriously--Are you saying that learning to shoot your Extra-Heavy Recoiling Handguns Left-Handed; would somehow cause your Fragile Right Hand to Deteriorate? Years ago, I ran my Right Index Finger through a pulley. Hurt pretty good. AlmosT avulsed a big part of the end...

Re: Puma Winchester M92...454 Casull...New Addition!
[quote="rbertalotto"]Thanks for the link............a great read! I have a Marlin 1894CB in 45LC. I load a very stout hunting load for that gun, that many gun scribes assure the Marlin 94 action will easily digest. BUT.....it bothers me to shoot such a hot load in that gun. Due to a bad m...

Bullets Spinning on Ice
This is just a bit of Gun--or more precisely--Ammo arcana--But its PHUN TO WATCH.
The Dude can shoot into the Ice, and get the Bullets to turn like Tiny Gyroscopes.

Re: Mares Leg - Original or Tactical
Why does everyone assume that you have to shoot it from the Hip? Put a Ghost Ring Aperture sight on it; Hold it at eye-level--Approximately where it would be, if it had a Stock..... Use an Isometric " Spreader Hold " (Forward hand pulling Forward; Rear hand pulling back--As if you're tryi...

I'm not sure if this is attractive or not--But it most certainly IS.

Lever Guns that I'd like to see offered
.The title pretty well says it, except for the calibers. #1} A nice light Lever Action in .32 H&R Magnum--Or whatever that new "Nee-Plus-Extra-Powered" .32 Magnum is called. The H&Rs and the S&W Longs should be usable as sub-loads. #2} I've heard of them, though I've yet to see...

Re: Model 94 Mare's Leg
I agree with you. The main use I'd see for a .45-70 Bushwhacker like the one Wild West Arms used to offer as a Class III Weapon, would be if you were serving no-knock warrants, and you were the first man through the door. Across a room should be in reasonable range for a hip-shot/point shoot, and th...

Re: Model 94 Mare's Leg
I've quoted Muleskinner on several forums. This is the first "Come-Back" that I've had--Pro or Con. I was hurrying yesterday, trying to get done before Supper, and making an inelegant Hash of my Arguments. Here are Muleskinner's exact words: "Put on a rubber butt pad, shorten the hamm...

Re: Model 94 Mare's Leg
My Friend Muleskinner is a modern day Cowboy; Outfitter; Tracker; and until recently, a Deputy Sheriff. He had this to say--forgive me if I freely paraphrase: " If one replaced the Trigger and Lever, he would have a very compact weapon that could easily be rolled up in a bedroll. (Niether seems...

Lever Action with Kel-Tec Dual Magazines ?
Has anyone wondered if you could pair Kel-Tec's Dual Tubular Magazine System with a Lever Action Rifle?
What for?
Well, in all seriousness, Large Magazine Capacity isn't all its sometimes cracked-up to be.....
Nonetheless, such a rifle could be Phun!

Lever Action Takedown Conversions
Hello everyone. I didn't see an Introduction Thread--So I thought that I'd jump right in. Who knows of a good Gunsmith that does takedown conversions--Well I'm stumped for words. "Cheap": "Affordable"; "Reasonable" are all subjective, and subject to interpretation..... ...
