Yep, it will work, but it takes a while. Once you reach the level of "slickness" you like, clean the action, oil it up, and you're good to go. My brother and I did that with our '94's, just cycle them until you drive your wife nuts. :D

Kind of funny you guys went to Lake Havasu looking for gunshops. A guy who owns one in nearby Wenatchee, WA, Rocky's House of Guns, had a second shop in Lake Havasu. A couple of years ago he closed the Lake Havasu one. I never really sat down and asked him why.

I always, always, always carry a revolver, big revolver, on my hip when I'm out and about. A person will always lay down their rifle if they have to do something. Next thing ya know is your tens of feet away from your firearm and you need it now. If it's on your hip it's with you all the time.
