I killed my first buck about 10 yards off the King ranch, while hunting on a friends ranch. There is some excellent deer hunting on the King, but it is not cheap.

He was going to Tig weld the firing pin hole closed and then drill a new hole the right size in the right place for the smokeless firing pin. There were likely more details to it than I listed, but then I am not a welder and just repeated what I was told.
