I have four that roam my back yard at the lake. One is the size of a chicken. I don't care for them on the ranch but they are protected, so are the Caracara. RR7
P.S. Quail taste great, I'm not sure about Roadrunner or Caracara.

Mystery solved. Texas Jack Jr., (1860 appr. to 1905), adopted son of Texas Jack Omohundro, is best known for running a Wild West show and circus where he gave Will Rogers his start as an entertainer.[1] Not long after the American Civil War, Texas Jack Omohundro found a five year old boy, orphaned w...

Here is a cabinet photo of the original "Texas Jack" Omohundro that was with the Buffalo Bill Wild West Show. I can see a resemblance but sometimes performers in wild west shows just took the name of a famous showman and used it for themselves. :? http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e372/ran...

I have had the opportunity to hold several well known Texas Ranger's Colts and Winchesters, some were plain and some were engraved. They dated from 1880s to pre-WWII. I just sat there and looked at them in my hands thinking about the men that used them, all before I was born. RR7
