Pockets serve no purpose on military uniform pants. You dont use them or your not supposed to anyways. If your hands are cold, put gloves on, that is if its winter time. The military likes uniformity, everyone looking the same. For an official photo, the position is attention, which means hands in ...

Thank you all for the replies. I believe I will go with a Williams peep sight. A scope will take away from the handiness of this rifle, besides I have a couple 336's with straight 4X scopes on em. Thanks again, NRA Note that there are two 94/36 Wiliams aperture sights - the FP series is a little mo...

I'm with Hobie - Williams FP 94 36 and I remove the aperture and have, in effect, a ghost ring sight - accurate and fast on target. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y25/kmastf/RIFLES/ANFP9436SIDE.jpg Did have to replace the front sight with a taller XS sight. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y25/kma...

OJ did your High Grade hit point of aim with the original front sight and the williams receiver sight? Had to raise my front sight. Nope - I had to install a taller front sight. Had a gunsmith do it but didn't like the gold bead so I found this blade on XS Sights and found it wasn't all that diffic...

I have a Winchester 74 I bought in 1939 - one year before the model for .22LR came out - mine is chambered for .22 shorts only. That was OK for me since I did all my shooting with .22 shorts - they were two bits a box of 50 and LR ammo cost twice as much. The loading hole in my stock is a little lar...

Personally, I use Gun Scrubber and have been happy with it. As for disassembling it, J.B.Wood in The Gun Digest Book of Firearms ASSEMBLY/DISASSEMBLY Part III: Rimfire Rifles (I'm assuming that book is still on the market) describes the how to details. He cautions that it is tricky and, being unable...

If the front sight is dovetailed you can get any number of sights from Midway,Brownells, or Buffalo Arms. If your front sight is pinned in place then you might have to make one. I dunno about that 95 but, on my Winchester 95 30-06 made by Miroku in 1995 (I would expect them to be the same) the fron...

Well, it's not a .405 caliber but it sure is a Winchester 95 in 30-06 (one of 10,000 made in 1995 by Miroku under license - only 3,000 were in this Hi Grade). Our preferences differ which I think is good. Personally, I like the Williams FP apertures but I leave the aperture out to get a ghost ring sight - faster on target but just as accurate. Got the idea from Jeff Cooper's writing. On my Winchester 95 - http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y25/kmastf/RIFLES...
