I put this rifle on my wish list with Buds gunshop in Aug. Got the e-mail yesterday, they had 2 in stock.
I put a deposit on it and am going down to Lexington Ky Friday with the little lady to pick it up and a over nighter.

When I bought my Sharps carbine I had them add a ring to it. Afew years back there was a post on this forum? maybe? about a fella that made a sling for the saddle ring. I bought one and still use it with my Winny 94. It keeps the rifle out of the way, but is quick to use.

I use 44 grains of Varget with my Garand. Accurate and very light kick. Might be a bit higher the the 30-30, or what you are looking for.
