All the bad guys that decided to shoot it out with the late Jim Cirillo of the famed NYPD stake out squad would say so if they could talk. Follow the advice that AmBraCol gave you and get you some 158gr +P LSWCHP ammo. Those of us that use the little snubs are already at a diadvantage as the short b...

OT- New IMR 8208XBR Powder

IMR has a new powder coming out called 8208XBR, it is part of the extreme line therefore it is very temp insensitive. I'm thinking about giving this powder a try if can find it, seeing how I have had rotten results with W748 and Rl15.

OT- Opinions on the 6.5 Creedmoor

At heart I'm a levergunner and love my MArlin 30-30. Outside of leverguns though I'm a so called 7mm geek. However as much as I like the 7mm I also like the 6.5 calibers, especially the 6.5x55. I just wish this cartridge was more popular here in the U.S. I have been paying close attention to the 6.5...

My picks for a minimum battery are .22 rifle .44 Marlin 1894SS .30.30 12 gauge .38 SPL M10 Heavy barrel If I had to slim this down even more then the 12GA and .44 would go. I could easily get by with the other 3 if that were the case. I sure would miss my little S&W M60 though. I was thinking ab...

According to their web site the Stevens has a 1:9.5 twist.

Thats great, looks like I missed out on a good deal then. I checked the Savage rifles and their still listed with the slower twist. I wonder why they decided to use two different twist rates.
