Re: Bought a new loading press..
I also have a Lee Turret, bought in 1988. It was my first press and is still my main press for handgun loads. I use the micrometer powder measure. No complaints yet on the press. I do have one minor issue with the powder measure. If I am loading with Accurate #9, the very fine grains will leak from ...

I watched the Chiappa guy long enough to see him put the "13 clips" back into the .380 pistol, BACKWARDS! WOW, he must have been drunk or something!
It will be nice if the quality of the new Marlins is back to standards.

I also use the freezer paper and tape. No burn. Get all the air out and you're good to go. I was given a vacuum sealer and had some of the seals fail. Probably some error on my part, but I hated losing deer meat. Went back to tried and true. I do this for everything but ground meat. Last year, I put...

Thanks for that link! I was able to buy my issue Model 64 when our department switched to Beretta 92's. It will never leave my clutches. That was before the powers that be completely lost their minds. Now all guns when phased out, are destroyed. They won't even trade them in to the manufacturer. Kevin

Nice job on the mount. We have that same rifle in, also in .30/30 . Two of the boys have made good use of it killing deer. I really like it and have slipped out with it a few times when the boys stayed home or were tagged out. I have a few kills with it as well. It really is Handi in the Ozark woods...

Re: northeast and midwest hunters: need advice on rabbits
Mescalero, The dogs are tracking on the scent of the rabbit and nearly all the time they are well back from the rabbit. However, you still need to be aware, and ID whatever is moving in the brush, before raising your gun. Shotguns are much safer for the hunters and the dogs in this type of hunting. ...

Mescalero,
Shotguns are for shooting running rabbits being pushed by Beagles. Different style guns for different styles of hunting. But you knew that, stirring up trouble.

I'm in the same state as Ted, Missouri. I don't have a problem with the rules as they are, but if they would allow handguns and/or .22 rf, I would like that challenge. They could put in a stipulation for head/neck shots only, or not.

You have got to hunt them over a good pack of Beagles. Some of the best hunting to be had. I am lucky enough to have two friends with packs of Beagles. It is great to listen to the pack as they work the track. Rabbits naturally circle when pushed and will come back to where they were jumped. Some wi...

The air rifle that Lewis and Clark carried on their "Voyage of Discovery" was said to have been a major reason that people that they met did not try to wipe them out. I read an article a while back, in which the author made that argument, and it sounded like he had a valid point to me. Jus...

We can also now use handguns during the alternate methods season, as well as bows, crossbows, and atl-latls....
