My bullets out of the mold weigh in at 318 grs ready to load. Feeds like a champ, good bullet, but not for my 4 5/8 vaqueros, as the heavy load kicks like @#$%^mule on steroids.

Mine has no bullseye. came from Big 5, and definately has a cheapo finish. I will replace it eventually with walnut.

Uh, yahhhhh, but how do I set it up. thats the problem. Marking on top and or bottom does not guide the bit through. How do I level the stock both vertically and allign with where the holes in the tangs are.
While I am not stupid, I am drawing a blank on the best way to set this whole thing up.

Is there a mechanical reason that the short mag tube on a marlin with either an 18" or 20" 45-70 could not be replaced with a full lenght mag tube?
