I don't think the weather in that part of Texas is much different than here in OK, although I'm a few 100 miles North. Hot here in OK means on average 10-15 days per summer of 100 degrees or hotter. The rest of the time it's mid to high 90's. 90's usually run from the end of May till mid September. ...

You ever play "handles"..? Bunch of guys line up, first guy throws and everyone else throws at his hawk handle. The trick is to learn to throw the hawk backwards and when it lands, the handle falls out and lays on the ground where nobody can hit it. Fun if you can do it...

I think the FXT is made for self defense and IMO is a bit gimmicky with the rubbery tip. A properly stoked up hardcast would probably shoot thru both a pig and a deer if you could get them to line up correctly.
