I have been told that during the '30's long-rifles were 10 cents/box and shorts were 2 boxes for 15 cents.

Around here, when you call 911 for any reason, you get a cop, a firetruck and an ambulance. And, you have to pay for the firetruck and the ambulance.

That's why I keep the various departments non-emergency numbers on speed dial.

In the early Ninety's I remember seeing surplus boxer primed, U.S., 1980's manufactured .303 British ammo with no head stamp. Why? Obviously it had been intended for the Afghans fighting the Russians.
This probably had a similar purpose clandestine purpose.

I never understood why Ruger never offered the "Deer-slayer" auto in 45 Win-Mag, 9mm Win-Mag, 10mm, etc. The same would go for the Ruger 96 in any number of new hand gun cartridges both rimmed and rimless.

I have a $10 Trac-Fone that works anywhere there is service.
I buy sixty minutes air time and ninety days service for $21 including tax. That's $7 a month and I have nearly a thousand minutes of air time built up.

The chambering that made the Sharps reputation was the .54 percussion.
No brass to buy or form. Roll your cartridges out of any available stout paper.
The metallic cartridge Sharps was just one of many single shots and could not compete for very long.

Most air rifle aficionados claim it takes a full can of 500 pellets for new spring piston air rifle to break-in and achieve its accuracy potential.
Not only the barrel but, also the piston, valves and spring need to break-in and settle down.
Don't give up on your air rifle after one range session.
