Today I celebrate

my 55th birthday and with much pride, share that date with Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson, CSA. No finer warrior nor Christian gentleman took up arms for his homeland during the War for Southern Independence.

I never slung mud at anyone. If you took time to read my post, I said that I have nothing but admiration for the military and would gladly see the money paid to glorified thugs and dog-fighters given to them instead. The Master at Arms students I teach are the Navy's law enforcement arm. I DID say t...

Buffboy, you come down to Ol' Virginnie and I'll pat your back for you. It gripes my testes that so many are always ready to slam the law enforcement profession having never once walked a yard in their shoes, much less a mile. The (deer) drought is over!

In Tidewater, VA, where I live, deer season comes on Oct. 1 for general firearms. October & November were very unseasonable, in the 80's to near 90's at times, no rain and I was on a crappy schdule at work (10am-630pm). My forays afield yielded only a grey fox, as no shootable deer presented the...

Beware in this Blessed Season

PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR FIREARMS AND WATCH OUT FOR THE IDIOTS THAT MAY BE AROUND YOU!!!! I have twice had to send an "instructor" packing that violated basic safety rules while I was training Navy personnel in firearms. I made it known in no uncertain terms that I did not want him back...

Virginia allows ccw during archery, also, and on state land. Now if the benevolent yankee government would realize it can't protect us on its land, and allow ccw, we'd be doing good. Of course, I can't grouse much, my retired LEO permit lets me carry in all 50 states, DC, PR, etc....
