I like Winchester 231 for pistol calibers. 9mm, 38 Special,
10mm, 45ACP, 44 Special and light loads in 41 Mag.

Exceptions are the magnums, where 2400 seems
to work well for me.

Lotsa folks swear by Unique, and I don't think you'd go
amiss with that.

Yes, if you have the brass, and yes, depending on what's available in your neck of the woods, and yes, depending on the load you want. I can assure you that I can load 10mm and 41 Mag a LOT cheaper than I can buy anything to feed those two critters! 9mm? Maybe not so much of a savings there. :wink:

There's probably more energy in the load you described than
in the original loading for the 30-30. And the 357 makes a

Yes, Old Savage, I was as happy as you to read the
report about the Core-Lokt bullets. The 200gr. shoots
great in my 336 - the 150gr., not so well.

I'm willin' to bet that a whitetail killed with the 35 Rem
is just as dead as the one the fella shot with the
375 H&H! :lol:
