Great story. thanks for posting it. I was beginning I had missed it from the first post there for a while. Any idea what a buck like that would score on the B&C scale? Just curious. Yep, I think he will be between 130 and 135 B&C or P&Y (Pope and Young) since I shot him with a bow....

Well, first I'll start with the stand location... I chose to put the stand on a logging road-type trail that we made a few years back with a dozer. From my preseason scouting (and a tip from my old neighbor who owns the land next door) I was able to figure out that the deer (especially bucks) tended...

My favorite cartridge has to be 44Rem Mag. 44 is so great for deer hunting that I don't use any other rifle. I really like the results I have gotten with it on whitetails. I would say that my favorite lever-gun is MY 1894 Marlin 44Mag. It is really great and I love to deer hunt with it.

Nice. I always liked Garands.
I especially like the one my dad has. It's a 308 Win conversion with match-grade barrel and parts. With peep sight, you can clover-leaf a 5-shot group at 100 yards. I think that's pretty cool.

I use a 110-grain charge and can cloverleaf my groups at 50 yds. I only clean about once every 5 shots. It is really great. For a fin...
