Re: OT-Ruger Single Six Old Model
Last week we had a fellow bring one in to get it appraised for his insurance. I was about the same condition as yours. The two other customers (regulars, so we knew they were serious) started offering the guy $$$. The one other guy left but the original owner and the second guy struck a deal ... $28...

Re: FFL's now need permit from Kali to ship there? (CONFIRMED!)
We just got our letter this week. Our shop's attitude isn't Kali friendly ... it got round-filed. The owner said "We don't have to do business with those #@&%$#@&%$"

Re: Got a new case for a few of my levers
I got the idea initially that you are going to store the rifles in that case all the time. If you are, be careful, some cases actually cause rust problems due to moisture being retained. If you're not going to store them there and I misunderstood ... oops, sorry.

Joe, the case neck lubricator is a small plastic trough with several size brushes sticking up out of it. You just push the case down over the appropriate size brush into the mica then pull it back up. The brush removes the excess fron the inside. I have a little cheap one but it does help with the d...

To me it sounds that what you are calling parallex is really just the focus of the scope. Once you get it on tight like they said and it is positioned fore and aft so you get the full view through the scope without the fuzzy donut effect around the parimeter of the scope do you still see two crossha...

That's right FW. Pekes were bread to attack humans as royal body guards. We always had Pekes until this one. The Pekes were 6 feet tall and 500 pounds in their minds at least and were fearless. This little Shih Tsu is very friendly and people oriented as well as being shy with other animals. That's ...

OT-Biker Dog is a Killer
Some of you might remember when I posted a pic of our new Shih Tsu. She was in a backpack and I had given her a ride with me on the Sportser. http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n239/oldgerboy/Bike-back.jpg Well, she is now a fearsome, carniverous, killing machine. She spent this weekend at a campgro...

The High and Low Walls are arguably my favorite single shot cartridge rifle but the Little Sharps seemed to be just the right size overall and scaled perfectly for the .38-55. I'm not disappointed ... it is and is what I thought. I just need to get the sights to be more visable for me and solve the ...

This was probably no accident but that doesn't mean it was done out of meaness either. All I can do is relate my experience. About 1988 or 89 my neighbor kid knocked on the door. Range Report-sort of-Little Sharps
After we closed the shop this afternoon I stopped off at the range. Up went a three foot square piece of paper with a four inch "dot" at 50 yards. I had five loads ... four mild handloads and some factory CILs. The first order of business was to drive to a buddy's house just up the road an...

UPDATE- AGAIN - "Blued" 94 - didn't turn purple
Today I saw a Winchester 94 that didn't turn purple when blued. A little history ... About two months ago an individual wanted their 94 blued. The dealer the individual went to brings his repair work to the shop where I help at on weekends. The guy was warned by the dealer and by us that the action ...

Non-Lead Bullets
I don't want to hijack the other thread so.... Non-Lead bullets, as has been noted, is an unfortunate part of some California lives at this time.
