Re: Question: Win. Mod. 1886 (1894mfg) .40-82 old vs new par
I have a Chaparrel 1876 45-75, that I disassembled, and tried the parts in a friends original 1876 receiver. We assembled the entire original 1876, with the Chaparrel parts, and everything fit with no problem, links, lever, trigger, and so forth. Even the thread pitch was correct for all of the scre...

I have a CPA (Stevens 44 1/2) Schuetzen Rifle on order. Probably will not see it until Oct. or Nov. It will have 38-55 and 22RF barrels. I will have to say that this is most expensive firearm that I have ever purchased, and it is lever operated. http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d53/Ken41/CPA-38-55....

Chaparrel 45-75
I have a Chaparrel in 45-75. It had the barrel replaced and is now fine. One item of note is that all of the Chaparrel 76 parts fit into an original receiver. A friend has a stripped 76 receiver. We tried the Chaparrel parts, and everything will interchange. May have a little hand fitting to do it r...

Thanks for the comments. The Uberti looks like it should be able to do 1" groups at 100 yards. I am still playing with the sights, and have been shooting Winchester factory ammo. I want to try some 168gr Match Kings, the twist is 1:12. The trigger still needs worked on. It does not go to full c...

New Lever Actions
Well, since others are showing recent acquisitions, I thought that I should join in. The C. Sharps High Wall is a 45-90 32" heavy barrel. The Uberti Low Wall is a 30WCF 30" barrel. http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d53/Ken41/45-9030-30.jpg I have just finished the barrel break in for the H...
