I've been looking for a Marlin in .32H&R for a couple of years now. The couple I've found were going for over twice what they cost new. It seems there are lots of people that still want a rifle that was discontinued due to "lack of interest". I'd like to see Marlin make another run of ...

I'll weigh in on this one also. I agree with Mr. 86'er in that it depends on the operation. When I lived in Texas in the late 80's and early 90's, I hunted at a couple of different game ranches and have shot mouflon, corsicans, feral goats, and a white dall. I hunted a bit at a ranch up in Chico and...

I've had that happen with my .243 and a very similar hit and what I believe caused it was all the fat built up behind the shoulder and on the haunches. The deer where I hunt are very well fed between feeders in summer, food plots, and acorns and they have more fat on them than any other place I've e...

I'm starting to enjoy mine more and more also. I initially bought it for my wife but she prefered my 10-22's. I wasn't happy with it because of the cheesy plastic barrel band and front sight. Growing up in Wisconsin, I took my first deer with a 12ga springfield single shot at 12. After that, my dad let me use his model 70 in 30-06 (with open sights) while he used his BAR in .308win. That's a good price. I was happy to pay 550.00 for mine two years ago. I actually even found a box of factory ammo for mine once. If you reload, there's lots of choices out there. A 30 year old 336 is not really old. I'm sure it has "micro groove" rifling and many think that you can only shoot jacketed bullets in it to begin with. Cast bullets are cheaper and I have had no trouble with shooting cast in mine. I water quench wheel weights and end up with an 18 to 20 B...
