Re: Went with my son to get a home protection pistol.
That's a great way to spend a day with yur son. One of my proudest days was in Dec of 2011 when my son turned 21. On his birthday him and I went to the LGS and he made his first official purchase. It was a Springfield XDM 9mm. Of course that's not what I would have chosen but that is what made it so...

Re: Review: Henry Repeating Arms 30-30 H009 and H009B
I wasn't involved in the shoot but I have to add my Henry opinion to the conversation. I have a very early Golden Boy 22LR, my brother has a Golden Boy, and the Big Boy in 357 and 44. Those Golden Boys are as smooth as can be and I have run several thousand rounds through mine with nothing but great...

Re: A new Marlin GBL or SBL?
I looked at a SBL last fall at a Sheels store in Springfiels Illinois. It was a good looking gun. Me and the ol boy I was with gave it a good look and decided maybe Remlin was turning things around. They had a zip tie around the stock and through the loop so I couldn't cycle it and I wasn't planning...

Those are some good pics and a great history lesson. Yur right Sixgun about how we have made the villan out to be a hero. I'd like to see then both make a go of it. I agree that my 45/70 will do all that's needed, heck my 357 lever will do all "I" really need but if we can get another gun company going we're all better for it.

Ol Savage is talking about a knife in a picture that you don't notice, and now you're talking about coffee grinders. I'm not sure what any of it has to do with lever guns but I'm not complaining.
