Re: .32 Winchester Special ?

I think that is a great looking gun, and I would say the price was right. I used to have a 94 in 32ws, it was a rifle with half round half oct. barrel, ivery bead front sight, tang peep site, and tiger striped wood, but like so many othere dumb mistakes I let it go a long time ago, do I wish I had i...

Re: 44 MAGNUM IN A 94 WINCHESTER .444 BIGBORE.

well I have to admit that back in the late seventies I did exactly the same thing 10 or 15 times on a hunting trip . As I remember I started out with some shot loads (the ones Speer made in those days ) then progressed to some 240gr hot loaded Hornadys. I don`t recall that I had any problems at the...

Re: New Winchester Model 94 Rifles

Griff the only thing I think you and I dissagree on is weather it is a Winchester or not, I have a modle 94 AE trapper in 45 LC, I like it ok but it reminds me of toy rather then a gun with the rebounding hammer, and the cross bolt safty which broke by the way so now I just have what amounts to two ...

Re: 44 MAGNUM IN A 94 WINCHESTER .444 BIGBORE.

I may be wrong, but I think the base of the 444 is a little larger then the 44 mag, not sure if the brass would be any good after shooting it in the 444. I had a Thompson contender 44 barrel that had been rechamberd for the 444, that was a handfull, but in the chamber of the 44 mag on the contender ...

Re: New Winchester Model 94 Rifles

Replica is something made by a company that doesn't hold the name and the patent. Ie Rossi,Uberti, or Chiappa Anything coming from the Miroku plant and marked with the Winchester trademark and proof mark is not a replica. I have to agree, those guns, like the 94 we are talking about, contracted wit...

Re: Winchester/Miroku Model 71

Winchester may have taken note that Pedersoli is supposed to have a 71 on the market. That may have helped them make the decision to have one made by Miroku. Who knows, maybe they'll wake up and start making 66's, 73's and 76's..... I can just see the catalog headline: "Winchester is proud to ...

Gentlemen, Will someone tell me why the .348 even came into being. I don't think it will do anything the .45-7o can't do and it appearrs to me to be an 1886. I have owned both & prefer the '86.In .45-70. Seems like an upgrade that was useless.???? I really would like to know what the improoveme...

348 WCF! waaaaaaaaaaY 8) We need to get winchester to produce the ammo on a full time basis. At a much more reasonable cost. True, true, but I am just waiting for Hornady to come out with their Flexpoint in 348, the email I received from them said it was in the works, I wonder what size it will be!...

Re: 348 Winchester

Be sure to get a Lee Factory Crimp Die! The absolute best thing ever invented for loading the .348. I even bought a spare. Another real key is to find a neck sizer die (Victor, mod71alaska, had some extras for sale at one time). It will extend your case life a great deal, as well as making the sizi...

As for the state itself. With the exception of Alaska, it's hands down the most beautiful state in all of the US. When you factor in weather, then CA is tops, period. Those that will never visit this state, are really the ones losing out. My brother and sister in law came out a few years back, from...

Re: 348 Winchester

More activity with my new Browning 71. I got a crack at another coyote this afternoon. He was facing me at 130 yards. I know the distance because he was standing at the back fence just inside the tree line. One shot and he dropped right there. He was right around 50 pounds. I hit him with a 165 gra...

Re: Finally got the 375 BB home today!!

I had a 94 BB in 375, traded it off for something, some times I do wish I had it back, but replacing my Browning 71 was more important to me so that is the way I went this time around. I still have ammo for the 375, I think the reason I got rid of it was because at the same time I had a Ruger #1 in ...

Sixgun, That deluxe looks like a great 71. I would like to see a full size picture of it. The wood on the older Winchesters was usually pretty nice. I do like the color case hardening though.
