"B**st**d" is a generally term of endearment here. More often than not, it is a term used for your closest friends.

Yeah, down here we have to be specific. We have 4 codes of "football". Australian Rules, Rugby League, Rugby Union, and Soccer.

A few years ago, the FFA adopted "Football" as the official term for "Soccer", but it's not really catching on.

In Queensland it's the same as what Bruce said. We also have defined categories of weapons. For all intents and purposes average people can only obtain permits for Cat. A and B weapons. Category A - blank firing rifles, rimfire rifles (NOT SELF LOADING), single/double barrel shotguns, and powerheads...

Over here, the 303/25 was very popular post WWII. I believe it was a .303 Enfield necked to .257.

I know it's not what you're after, but that's the only one I have experience with.

Yeah I agree, got a receiver sight for my 336 - shooting high at its lowest setting.

Got the tallest front post I could find - still shooting high at its lowest setting.

Wound up machining some off the base of the sight. all good now.

At the end of the day it's all about the shooter. I only have 2 guns. (scoped) 243W and (peep) 30-30. If I can't do the job with these, then the job aint worth doing. Ear muffs always for targets;
Ear muffs always for hunting;

and I also use -
Ear plugs under my motorbike helmet when on the highway.

I'm a muso so hearing protection is never questioned.
