Re: My lab Daily needs your thoughts...UPDATED May 11, 2014

Just checked into the board and saw the post again about Daisy. Victor I am so sorry you will be losing your special companion. It is never easy losing such a good friend and loving dog in your life. I know it is hard on you and your wife, but you should reflect on the totally great times you all ha...

Re: Please be careful out there

So true about riding bikes. I road them in my early years when I thought I was invincible. Now since I don't trust other drivers on the road I don't ride any more.
As a matter of fact I like to be in a big truck or car when traveling.

ELK HUNT

Edited to add Idaho and Montana. I thought I would ask our fellow lever gunners for recommendations before searching the net. Looking for recommendations for outfitters in CO, WY, NM, for a horse back hunt, 5 to 10 days into a wilderness area. Figure 3 to 4 well seasoned hunters. All are known to be...

Re: Anyone have experience with Mueller or Vortex rifle scop

I have a Vortex 6X24, 30mm tube X50mm mounted on my AR bench gun. Purchased 2 years ago from Optics Planet with a lifetime warranty. Very good optics, repeatable settings, appears to be a quality scope IMHO. When these were on sale "Snipers Hide" had many reviews on them. I recall that man...

Re: Current Rossi 92 quality and useful 357 loads

Plus 2 on NKJ's, used his DVD to slick up my 357. Cannot say enough about his instructional video that made a complicated procedure simple. I had a Rossi 45 Colt I bought some years ago from someone who had NKJ's slick it up. Best LA functioning rifle I had handled. Bought the 357 and thought it was...

Weaver/ Redfield scopes

Please school me on when and why The Weaver/ Redfield names both we're put on scopes.
Did Redfield by Weaver or visa versa?
I did not want to hijack the "classified" thread.

Re: Surgury Monday

Prayers up for a successful outcome. Had mine done in August of 13. I have never saw distances that crisp and clear as long as I can remember since before the surgery. Never wore glasses for reading or up close before, but now I do. Distance correction without lenses is now 20-15 for both eyes. What...

Re: Wild Kingdom experience just now

Those are all cool. For me I have seen several birds vs fish. The first was fishing in the foothills in Central CA. A mature bald eagle swooped down and picked up a bass about 1 - 2 pounds from the middle of the pound, flew with it to an oak tree and made a meal of it. Then the same eagle after abou...

25-20 WCF

I had been searching for 25-20 brass without any luck until I stumbled upon Huntington Reloading at (1-866-reloads). For anyone interested they said they still have some in stock. I picked up a 250 count bag for about $73.00. I just got a new to me 1903 1894 Marlin rifle. I will post pictures of it ...

I have a 94 AE trapper without the cross bolt saftey. I have swapped out the parts to remove the rebounding hammer. Very handy truck gun.
