Re: BANDITS!
We have the occasional one or two. But the coyotes tend to keep them in check. Problem here is that the coyotes keep breeding and then they run out of wild critters to eat. They then start taking domestic animals. I do my best to keep the coyotes in check, but we have folks here who feed them and s...

Congratulations, that is one pretty piece of wood. I was sitting in a deer blind a few years ago and glanced down at my Ruger #1 and remember thinking that it sure was easier to be sitting there with a beautiful rifle than with a piece of plastic.

My wife and I have talked about it several times, she says she would love to have an old wringer washer. They used one when she was growing up with the electric motor. When we checked, the only ones made now are made by the Saudis.

Now that I'm retired one of the things I want to work on most is a round ball load from a 28 gauge. I have an H&R single shot that reminds me of a trapper's trade gun. The light recoil just calls out to me. I'm thinking I'll end up with a .54-.58 cal round ball from a smooth bore.

Talking to a LGS owner a few years ago he told me the American hunter is the most over gunned hunter in the world. We have people walking around Florida with 7mm Mags, 300 Win Mags and the like. On top of that they will pick one box of ammo over another because the maker says it has 40 FPS more speed.
